They are Henriette (Marie Josse Croze), speech therapist, who will teach him the communication code, his physiotherapist, Marie Lopez (Olatz López Garmendia), and Dr. Lepage Patrick Chesnais), a neurosurgeon who will supervise Jean-Do's care. Besides the hospital's therapist team, there is also Céline (Emmanuelle Seigner), his estranged partner and the mother of his three children.

Actually, in 1997, there is a documentary made by Jean- Jacques Beineix about Jean-Dominique Bauby. The title is “Assigne a Residence”. Produce for channel France2. It’s released just two days before he die, 14th March 1997 with 27 minutes of duration.

The Diving Bells and Butterfly is a wonderful film. For me, it is one of the best films I ever have seen. My favorites scene is in the beginning of this film and last part of this film. In the beginning, Julian Schnabel use point of view camera angle to make the audience feel what Jean-Do feel. It makes the audience feel to be one part with Jean-Do. Specially, in the very beginning when Jean-Do asked by the doctor to spell his name and he already say it but there is nobody hear him talk. And then, he realizes that he can’t speak anymore. That scene is really making the audience have a deep feeling to the character. Another favorite of mine is in the last part, part when Jean-Do takes a ride his son and get the “locked-in syndrome”. The music and the visual when he gets the syndrome, for me it is a genius one. Even the music is a happy music; we can feel deeper with the soundtrack in the movie.

Diving Bells and the Butterfly basically talk about life. Not just Jean-Do’s life but all people. You, me, everybody is talk about in this movie. The Diving Bells and Butterfly teach many things about life to the audience.(narasyadha)
